Millau > Lavaur
Millau, start of stage 7, is on the roads of the 2020 Tour de France.
With a start from Nice, a stage in the volcanoes of Auvergne, against the clock at the Planche des Belles Filles, and therefore, a new stage start for Millau after that of 2018.
A flat stage, 168 km long and which seems to promise sprinters, despite "some hills that dot the course," said Christian Prudhomme, the director of the Tour.
The day before, the Grande Boucle will meet with Mont Aigoual, a dream setting for reaching the summit of the sixth stage from Teil.
COMMENTARY BY CHRISTIAN PRUDHOMME
In Aveyron and the Tarn where you don't really know the "flat", the roads are never easy. Apart from the hilly profile before crossing Castres, the plans of the sprinter teams could also be disturbed by the wind which can blow in the region.
